Commercial SUN TUNNEL™ Skylights
Velux commercial SUN TUNNEL™ skylights are the most economical way to bring natural light into your business space, whether it is a commercial office, school, or large warehouse.
The natural daylight from the SUN TUNNELTM skylight in commercial buildings can improve worker productivity while lessoning energy costs through reduced heating, cooling, and electricity expenses.
The TCR model consists of a curb-cap style flashing to accommodate the preferred flashing method on commercial roofs. It is installed on top of the site-built curb just like any other skylight. The 22″ diameter rigid tubing reflects up to 98% of the sunlight entering the round roof-mounted acrylic dome.
The amount of interior space illuminated by the TCR SUN TUNNELTM skylight will depend upon the length of tubing, the sun orientation, and the geographical location of the installation. It is estimated that it can adequately light up to 150 – 400 square feet per unit.
On large commercial projects, Windy City Skylights and Velux can produce renderings and lighting simulations, resulting in a photometric analysis of the commercial space.
The commercial SUN TUNNEL™ skylight model is designed to be used in the following applications:

- Round-to-square converter boxes can transition the round tubing into a square mounting within the ceiling structure.

- A perfect solution to light large warehouse space using TCR SUN TUNNEL™ skylights by suspending them in open warehouse ceilings.
